DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT (NATURAL CALAMITIES) (DISASTER DECLARATION) NOTICE

under s. 37 (1)

1.    Citation

    This Notice may be cited as the Disaster Risk Management (Natural Calamities) (Disaster Declaration) Notice.

2.    Declaration of disaster

    There is hereby declared, in respect of all areas specified in the Schedule, a state of disaster and, upon the date hereof, the provisions of section 37 of the Act shall come into force in respect of all areas specified in the Schedule, or such parts thereof as may have been affected by El Nino induced prolonged dry spells and floods, and shall apply to the exigencies arising from the situation in those areas.
